UK-based Earth-i has secured a £500,000 grant from the UK Space Agency as part of the InCubed2 programme, bringing total funding to £1.5 million as the company expands its satellite data analytics capabilities for government and commercial applications.

Founded in 2015 by Richard Blain, Earth-i specializes in converting complex satellite imagery into practical insights for organizations across multiple sectors. The Guildford-based company focuses on making Earth observation data accessible and actionable for decision-makers who need clear intelligence without technical complexity.

The company's flagship product, SAVANT (Metals Insight), provides real-time activity data on global smelting operations across various commodities, designed specifically for non-technical users. Earth-i's platform combines computer vision, machine learning, and remote sensing technologies to analyze satellite data for applications in defense, security, energy, natural resources, agriculture, and supply chain management.

The InCubed2 programme funding will support Earth-i's work in developing satellite-based solutions for public service innovation, including infrastructure monitoring, emissions tracking, and biodiversity assessment. As satellite data becomes increasingly abundant, specialized analytics platforms like Earth-i play a crucial role in translating raw observations into meaningful business and policy insights.
